CVE-2024-46990Network attack vector

Authenticated SSRF via incomplete loopback address matching

Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Server-side request forgery in affected Directus releases allows remote authenticated users to read resources on the server's loopback network. The isDeniedIp request guard treats the default 0.0.0.0 deny entry as exact interface-address checks, leaving other addresses in 127.0.0.0/8 permitted. A low-privileged account able to invoke server-side imports can request another loopback address and expose confidential data from a local service.
