XXE in gematik Referenzvalidator before 2.5.1 allows remote attackers to induce server-side requests through crafted XML resources. The profile location routine creates a Woodstox WstxInputFactory with insecure defaults, allowing DTD-defined external entities to resolve attacker-chosen URIs. Exposure requires an application to pass XML from untrusted sources to the validator; exploitation issues network requests from that application's context.
