Mail-client code execution via unescaped link labels
Published Oct 14, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Stored XSS in Enalean Tuleap before 15.12-6, 15.13-3, or 15.13.99.37 allows site administrators to execute code in mail clients. The cross-reference field's HTML mail renderer inserts an administrator-controlled artifact-link forward label without neutralizing active content. Exploitation requires a site administrator to create the crafted link type and a recipient to open generated mail, confining execution to the recipient's mail-client context.
