CVE-2024-46979Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated notification-filter disclosure via missing authorization

Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Sep 18, 2024

Information disclosure in XWiki Platform allows remote attackers to read other users' notification filters through a crafted GET request. The NotificationFilterPreferenceLivetableResults template accepts a user parameter, resolves that user's document, and serializes filter rows without verifying access rights. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; the disclosed rows mainly contain public references but can provide information for chained attacks.
