Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped widget attributes
Published May 21, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored XSS in Move Addons for Elementor 1.3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through widget attributes. Six widget renderers output user-supplied Elementor settings into page markup without sufficient sanitization and context-appropriate escaping. Contributor-level page-editing access is sufficient; the stored script executes in the browser of each visitor who opens an injected page.
