Battery drain via unlimited RRC Setup attempts

Resource exhaustion in Samsung Exynos mobile processors and modems allows physically proximate attackers to drain batteries over 5G SA. The user equipment accepts repeated RRC Setup attempts without limiting or throttling their number, continually consuming power. A rogue 5G standalone base station within radio range can sustain the attempts, causing battery depletion rather than data disclosure or modification.
