Machine crash via overwritten scheduler pointer

NULL pointer dereference in affected Linux kernel releases allows local users to crash the machine via rejected AMD GPU command submissions. drm_sched_job_init clears the scheduler pointer initialized by amdgpu_job_alloc, so failed validation after num_ibs is incremented passes a bogus ring-derived device pointer to amdgpu_ib_free. Reachability requires local low-privileged access to an AMD GPU using amdgpu; the documented consequence is a machine crash without reported data disclosure or modification.
