CVE-2024-46894Network attack vector

SFTP user disclosure and modification via missing authorization

Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024

Authorization bypass in Siemens SINEC INS before 1.0 SP2 Update 3 allows remote authenticated users to read and alter SFTP user settings. The /api/sftp/users endpoint processes queries without confirming that the requesting account is authorized to access the SFTP user data or configuration operation. A valid low-privilege application account is required; successful requests disclose configured SFTP users and permit changes to the SFTP service configuration.
