Service interruption via unrestricted log growth
Published Nov 12, 2024 · Updated Nov 12, 2024
Uncontrolled resource consumption in Siemens SINEC INS before V1.0 SP2 Update 3 allows remote attackers to interrupt service. The application permits remotely generated events to expand log files without an effective size restriction until host resources are exhausted. No authentication or user interaction is required; sustained event generation can consume host resources and deny service.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
