Authenticated script execution via unescaped my_index parameter
Published May 9, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site scripting in Complete Web-Based School Management System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via my_index. The create_events.php page places attacker-controlled my_index data into generated HTML without neutralizing executable markup, causing a browser to interpret the value as script. Access to the event-creation function and interaction by another authenticated user are required; execution remains within that user's browser context.
