Local system hang via locked buffer destruction

Improper locking in Linux 6.8 through 6.10.10 and 6.11-rc1 through 6.11-rc7 allows local users to hang the system. In show_meminfo(), releasing the last buffer-object reference while client->bos_lock is held invokes destruction that reacquires the same spinlock and takes sleeping locks in atomic context. Reaching the fault requires local low-privileged access to drm/xe client memory reporting on a system using the Xe driver; the documented impact is an availability-only kernel deadlock.
