System crash via fatal Btrfs ENOMEM assertion

Denial of service in the Linux kernel Btrfs extent tree allows local users to crash the system when memory allocation fails. The walk_down_proc function passes an error from btrfs_lookup_extent_info into BUG_ON, converting recoverable ENOMEM during an extent-tree walk into a fatal kernel assertion. Reachability requires a local Btrfs workload and allocation failure; the reported consequence is an availability-only system crash.
