CVE-2024-4680Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Persistent account access via unexpired sessions

Published Jun 8, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024

Insufficient session expiration in ZenML 0.56.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to retain access after a password change. The self-hosted server continues accepting an existing session credential or session ID because the password-change flow does not invalidate active sessions. Exploitation requires a previously compromised authenticated session and a victim password change, after which the stale session remains usable for actions available to that account.
