Guest stack disclosure via populated TDVMCALL input
Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Information disclosure in the Linux x86 TDX MMIO path allows attackers controlling the VMM to read a guest kernel stack value. The mmio_read() function copies output-only *val into the outgoing TDVMCALL r15 input, transmitting its prior stack value to the VMM. Reachability requires an Intel TDX guest and an MMIO read; no integrity or service-interruption impact is reported.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
