Local system crash via PMIC GLink initialization race
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated May 11, 2026
Race condition in the Linux kernel allows local users to crash affected Qualcomm systems during PMIC GLink child initialization. A protection-domain notifier can schedule child-driver work before client registration assigns the local client pointer, and the worker blindly dereferences NULL. Triggering requires a populated protection-domain registry and a high-complexity initialization race; the resulting kernel fault interrupts the system.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
