CVE-2024-46669

IPsec tunnel crash via IKEv1 integer overflow

Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2026

Integer overflow in the Fortinet FortiOS IKEv1 service allows remote authenticated users to crash an IPsec tunnel via crafted requests. Fortinet identifies integer wraparound in the IPsec IKEv1 service but has not disclosed the affected calculation or request field. Exploitation requires valid tunnel authentication and interrupts only the targeted IPsec tunnel, with no reported confidentiality or integrity impact.
