RADIUS shared-secret disclosure via accounting requests
Published Jan 14, 2025 · Updated Jan 14, 2025
Information disclosure in Fortinet FortiOS 7.4.0 through 7.4.4 and 7.6.0 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to obtain a RADIUS secret. RADIUS accounting requests transmit the configured accounting-server shared secret in network data that an on-path attacker can intercept. Exploitation requires enabled RADIUS accounting and a position between the FortiGate and accounting server; the reported consequence is disclosure of that secret.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
