CVE-2024-46663

Privileged code execution via crafted CLI commands

Published Mar 11, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026

Stack-buffer overflow in affected Fortinet FortiMail CLI releases allows attackers to execute arbitrary code via crafted CLI commands. Fortinet identifies the CLI as the locus but has not disclosed the command handler or copy operation that overruns its stack buffer. Successful exploitation requires a privileged account with CLI access and permits compromise of the appliance's data, configuration, and operation.
