Authenticated script execution via rendered custom-field name
Published Sep 23, 2024 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
Stored XSS in HelpDeskZ 2.0.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute scripts in the custom-fields administration view. The custom-field creation flow accepts a crafted title value from a modified request, stores it, and later renders the value as active HTML instead of inert text. Normal-user access is required to create the field, and script execution occurs when the custom-fields page is viewed, exposing browser-session data and actions.
