Unauthenticated denial of service via crafted XML
Published Jan 7, 2025 · Updated Jan 9, 2025
XXE in Elspec Engineering G5 Digital Fault Recorder firmware 1.2.1.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted XML. The XML parser resolves an attacker-supplied external entity; Elspec has not identified the parsing endpoint or the resource-exhaustion path. No authentication or user interaction is required, and the documented consequence is limited to loss of availability.
