Unauthenticated service interruption via unchecked sAppName copy
Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Stack buffer overflow in sslapp.cgi in DrayTek Vigor3910 4.3.2.6 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted sAppName input. The CGI handler performs an unchecked copy of the sAppName parameter into a stack buffer, allowing oversized input to corrupt adjacent memory. No authentication or user interaction is required; public evidence limits the demonstrated consequence to service interruption and does not identify a hang, crash, or reboot.
