Service interruption via unchecked newProname copy
Published Sep 18, 2024 · Updated Mar 18, 2025
Buffer overflow in v2x00.cgi in Draytek Vigor 3910 4.3.2.6 allows remote attackers to interrupt service via crafted newProname input. The CGI handler copies the attacker-controlled newProname parameter without checking its length, overrunning a destination buffer. No authentication or user interaction is required; the documented consequence is denial of service, with no published evidence of data disclosure, modification, or code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
