Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped block options
Published Jul 11, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in Ultimate Blocks before 3.1.9 allows remote authenticated users to inject script through block options. The plugin outputs some block option values in embedded pages or posts without validating or escaping them; public records do not identify the affected option names or code locus. Contributor-level access or higher is required, and the injected script executes when a visitor loads the affected content.
