Improper certificate validation in TP-Link Tapo P125M and Kasa KP125M 1.0.3 allows man-in-the-middle attackers to read MQTT traffic. The device MQTT client accepts an unvalidated cloud-server certificate, enabling proxy decryption and injection of control or unbind messages. Attackers must control a network path between the plug and TP-Link cloud services; obtaining account credentials additionally requires a pairing action.
