Authenticated code execution via remote plugin archive
Published Sep 30, 2024 · Updated Sep 30, 2024
Remote code execution in emlog Pro before 2.3.15 allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through the plugin installer. The install action in /admin/store.php accepts an attacker-controlled cdn_source URL, downloads its ZIP archive, and extracts PHP content into content/plugins. Administrative access to the management backend is required; a planted web shell runs with the web server account's privileges.
