Stored script execution via rendered membership type
Published Sep 27, 2024 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Stored cross-site scripting in CodeAstro Membership Management System 1.0 allows attackers to run JavaScript in a viewer's browser. The application stores the membership_type value submitted through edit-type.php and renders it in view-type.php, causing embedded event-handler markup to execute. Membership-type management is restricted to the administrator, and exploitation also requires the listing page to be loaded; execution occurs in that viewer's session.
