Authenticated code execution via unchecked ZIP extraction
Published Sep 27, 2024 · Updated Sep 27, 2024
Arbitrary file upload in Kacins YPay 1.2.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through a crafted theme ZIP archive. themePutFile extracts archive members into public/home without validating each extracted file's extension, leaving uploaded PHP content web-accessible. Access to the administrative theme uploader is required, and successful exploitation runs attacker-supplied code with the web application's privileges.
