CVE-2024-46435Public exploit

Authenticated service crash via unbounded sprintf copy

Published Feb 10, 2025 · Updated Feb 10, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in the Tenda W18E 16.01.0.8(1625) web portal allows remote authenticated users to crash the service. The delFacebookPic function uses sprintf to copy user-controlled data into a fixed-size stack buffer without enforcing its capacity. Access to the web management portal is required; code execution has not been demonstrated because reliable return-address control was not achieved.
