Stored script execution via unescaped Full Name
Published Oct 7, 2024 · Updated Oct 7, 2024
Stored XSS in itsourcecode Placement Management System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute script in a user's browser via Full Name. The registration.php endpoint accepts a crafted Full Name value that is later rendered by profile.php without neutralizing embedded script markup. Exploitation requires a user to open profile.php after the crafted registration is submitted, limiting the consequence to script execution in that viewer's browser context.
