Contributor-level stored XSS via custom_upload_mimes
Published May 11, 2024 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Stored cross-site scripting in Brainstorm Force Starter Templates 4.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject web scripts. The custom_upload_mimes path accepts imported content without sufficient input sanitization and emits it into page output without adequate escaping. Contributor-level access is sufficient; scripts persist in an injected page and execute in a visitor's browser whenever that page is opened.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
