Database read and modification via unvalidated SQL
Published Sep 20, 2024 · Updated Sep 23, 2024
SQL injection in SEMCMS 4.8 allows remote attackers to read or alter database data through the SEMCMS_Main.php backend endpoint. The backend handler passes externally controlled input into SQL commands without validating it, but the public disclosure no longer identifies the parameter or exact query. The CISA assessment requires no privileges or user interaction, and successful exploitation can compromise stored data and interrupt service.
