Authenticated code execution via malicious upgrade archive
Published Apr 18, 2025 · Updated Apr 18, 2025
Command injection in the apiadmin upgrade interface of 74cms 3.33 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute code. The download and unzip endpoints accept an attacker-controlled archive URL and extract the downloaded package on the server without constraining its source or contents. A valid admintoken is required, and successful exploitation places attacker-controlled files on the server for code execution.
