Service interruption via unchecked cmdinput stack copy
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Oct 15, 2024
Stack buffer overflow in formexeCommand in Tenda O6 V3.0 firmware 1.0.0.7(2054) allows attackers to interrupt service via crafted POST data. The handler copies the user-controlled cmdinput parameter into the fixed-size v3 stack array with strcpy and no bounds check. CISA assesses adjacent-network access and low privileges as required, and public evidence establishes service interruption but not code execution.
