Unauthenticated command execution via cmdinput shell injection
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Command injection in Tenda FH451 firmware 1.0.0.9 allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary commands through an HTTP request. The formexeCommand function copies the untrusted cmdinput parameter through str into cmd_buf and passes it directly to doSystemCmd without neutralizing command delimiters. Network access to the router management endpoint is required, and successful exploitation runs commands with the firmware process's privileges.
