Service interruption via unchecked RouteStatic parameter copy
Published Sep 13, 2024 · Updated Sep 13, 2024
Stack-based buffer overflow in Tenda FH451 firmware 1.0.0.9 allows remote attackers on an adjacent network to interrupt router service. The RouteStatic handler copies the funcpara1 request parameter into a fixed-size stack buffer without first checking its length. A crafted POST to /goform/setcfm with funcname set to save_list_data overflows that buffer; published evidence demonstrates the malformed request but not code execution.
