Stored script execution via unescaped account fields
Published Sep 26, 2024 · Updated Sep 26, 2024
Stored XSS in Projectworlds Online Voting System 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript through account fields. The registration flow stores script-bearing firstname, lastname, and username values, and voter.php and profile.php render them as executable markup. Account creation is sufficient; execution requires another user to access the stored account information, exposing that user's browser session to script actions.
