Stored script execution via crafted site widget
Published Oct 1, 2024 · Updated Oct 1, 2024
Stored XSS in Pagekit 1.0.18 allows remote attackers to execute script in a visitor's browser through a crafted site widget. The widget editor stores attacker-supplied markup without neutralizing executable content, then renders it on the site front end and in the widget detail view. Exploitation requires a victim to load a page containing the saved widget; published evidence does not establish whether creating the widget requires authentication.
