Database disclosure via unescaped searchml parameter
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
SQL injection in Sem-Cms SEMCMS 4.0 through 4.8 allows remote authenticated users to read database data through a crafted searchml value. The prolmid() function in include/function.php directly concatenates the searchml-derived $CatID into a MySQL LOCATE expression without applying the application's SQL filter. Access to the backend product-management search is required, and a successful blind query discloses sensitive database information through response differences or time delays.
