CVE-2024-45944Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated RCE via unchecked scheduled-task invocation

Published Oct 18, 2024 · Updated Oct 21, 2024

Code injection in J2eeFAST 2.7 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through a scheduled task. JobInvokeUtil.invokeMethod passes supplied beanName, methodName, and methodParams into reflective invocation without adequate validation, allowing a crafted InitialContext.lookup call to reach attacker-controlled RMI deserialization. The published procedure requires administrative access to create and schedule the task; successful exploitation executes commands with the server process's privileges.
