User-group deletion via forged administrator request
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in DedeCMS 5.7 allows remote attackers to delete a user group through an administrator's browser. The sys_group_edit.php handler accepts a GET request containing dopost=del and a rank value without requiring a request-bound anti-CSRF token. Exploitation requires a logged-in backend administrator to submit the attacker-controlled form, and the demonstrated consequence is deletion of the rank-0 user group.
