Backend group creation via tokenless forged request
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in DedeCMS 5.7 allows remote attackers to create a backend user group through sys_group_add.php. The handler processes a cross-origin POST with dopost=save, groupname, and rankid fields without requiring an anti-CSRF token. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator to submit the crafted form, after which the application persists the supplied group.
