Configuration tampering via forged sys_info.php requests
Published May 7, 2024 · Updated Aug 1, 2024
Cross-site request forgery in DedeCMS 5.7 allows remote attackers to alter site configuration through /src/dede/sys_info.php. The published proof of concept submits a fixed token with dopost=save and attacker-chosen edit___cfg_* values, causing the handler to overwrite global site settings. Exploitation requires an authenticated administrator's browser to submit the forged form, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized configuration changes.
