Authenticated database extraction via unescaped username
Published Nov 13, 2024 · Updated Nov 21, 2024
SQL injection in baltic-it TOPqw Webportal 1.35.287.1 allows remote authenticated users to read database contents through user creation. The SaveNewUser endpoint incorporates the JSON Username value into an SQL statement without neutralizing quote characters, enabling time-based blind injection. An account with access to user creation is required; the published demonstration enumerated six databases and extracted personal records, hashed passwords, and stored files.
