Local code execution via planted dcomp.dll
Published Oct 7, 2024 · Updated Jul 5, 2026
DLL search-order hijacking in Vooki Infosec Yaazhini 2.0.2 allows local users to execute arbitrary code through a planted DLL. Yaazhini.exe loads a planted dcomp.dll from its application directory when the program starts, without ensuring that the library is trusted. Exploitation requires write access to that directory and a subsequent application launch, enabling code execution in the launching user's context and persistence.
