Authenticated code execution via SharePoint fields eval
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Eval injection in MindsDB 23.10.5.0 through 24.7.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary Python code. SharePointHandler.create_an_item passes the INSERT fields value to Python eval rather than a data-only parser, so expressions run with server-process privileges. Reachability requires authenticated query access, an installed Microsoft SharePoint integration, and a database created with its engine; successful exploitation exposes the server's data and execution context.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
Is a vulnerable build present?
Compare these published version ranges with your installed build and any vendor patches.
