Authenticated code execution via SharePoint query eval
Published Sep 12, 2024 · Updated Sep 12, 2024
Eval injection in MindsDB 23.10.5.0 through versions before 24.7.4.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute Python code via SharePoint INSERT. The SharePoint handler's create_a_site_column method passes the query-supplied text value to Python eval, which interprets it as executable code rather than data. Exploitation requires authenticated query access, the SharePoint integration, and a database using that engine; successful code runs with server-process privileges.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
