Eval injection in MindsDB 23.12.4.0 through 24.7.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code through ChromaDB INSERT queries. The ChromaDB handler's insert method passes a string-valued metadata field to Python eval instead of restricting it to literal data. Exploitation requires authentication, an installed ChromaDB integration, and a ChromaDB-backed database; injected code runs with the server process's privileges.
