Multiple-account creation via unvalidated registration mode
Published Sep 11, 2024 · Updated Sep 11, 2024
Parameter tampering in Reedos aiM-Star 2.0.1 allows remote authenticated users to create multiple accounts through its registration API. The registration endpoint fails to validate the mode field in the API request body before applying account-creation constraints. Authenticated access and a crafted registration request are required, and the demonstrated consequence is bypass of limits on account creation.
