CVE-2024-45752Public exploit

Privilege escalation via unrestricted D-Bus configuration

Published Sep 19, 2024 · Updated Sep 20, 2024

Improper privilege management in PixlOne LogiOps 0.3.4 and earlier allows local users to gain elevated privileges through D-Bus. The default system-bus policy lets any user send requests to the root-owned pizza.pixl.LogiOps service, which accepts arbitrary device mappings. Local access and minimal interaction from a peripheral user permit a malicious keyboard macro to execute under that user's authority.
