Published Sep 27, 2024 · Updated Oct 2, 2025
Recoverable credential storage in TopQuadrant TopBraid EDG 7.1.3 allows local users to decrypt stored external-service passwords. The local vault encrypts passwords in edg-vault.properties with a secret stored in plaintext in the readable edg-setup.properties file. File-system access to both files is required; successful extraction discloses credentials for configured external services.
